Maple Leaf Orthopedics and Spine is pleased to have Dr. Mimi Lundgren as a member of its staff.

As a proud native of Pueblo, Colorado, Dr. Lundgren is excited to be back in Southern Colorado and treat members of her community. She obtained a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Rush University, Chicago. At Rush University, Dr. Lundgren specifically studied intervertebral disc generation. She later attended the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, IL. Dr. Lundgren stayed in Illinois for her residency, attending Midwestern University/Franciscan Health in Olympia Fields, IL, and Chicago-area hospitals. She later completed an Orthopedic Spine Surgery Fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI. During her Fellowship, Dr. Lungren completed over 600 spine surgeries. She had been practicing in Wisconsin but is excited to return to her roots in the Southern Colorado region.

 

Dr. Lundgren possesses extensive surgical experience with microsurgical techniques, spinal fusions, disk replacement, fracture care, spinal tumors, deformity correction, and motion preservation procedures. She also has a particular interest and training in minimally invasive spine surgery.
